This is the large scale painting in this new collection of flower inspired paintings. The wild flowers I saw along the highways I traveled this summer inspired this painting. Some were in clumps of color amongst litter and decay, while others went for stretches of miles. Either way, I couldn’t help but think of the strength in these beautiful blooms, so untended and wild. All they needed was a little sun and a lot of rain, and wah-lah! A show of color that went on all summer long.
I’ve paired it with Gladiolus in one the enclosed photos to give an idea of how they will look displayed together.
