Berthe Morisot is one of my favorite artists. Her use of color, texture, and natural light as it dances off gardens make me think of kaleidoscopes.. When I worked on these abstract paintings, I felt the joy and excitement of seeing color and pattern emerge in the myopic way Morisot did as she studied the shifting moving sunlight before it vanished.
