The beautiful Island of Nantucket, off the coast of Massachusetts Bay was the inspiration for this painting. I was beach combing along the shoreline on a mid-summer afternoon when the island felt quiet and tranquil. I remember a very peaceful feeling, the smell of salt in the air, the early afternoon colors of green, gold, bronze, and blue, dancing along the shoreline. Just me and the glow of summer as I walked along the beach on a summer’s day.
