Description
Falling Water, resin and abaca wall sculpture, 31 x 18 x 3 inches, 950.00.
$950.00
The sound of water as it trickles down a rocky terrain is what inspired this sculpture. The title, Falling Water, comes from the famous private residence designed by the architect Frank Lloyd Wright. Having visited Falling Water a few years ago, I was struck by the sound of the waterfall heard throughout the home, so peaceful and invigorating. I could just imagine taking an afternoon nap while listening to the water falling just outside my window.
I’ve been working on this idea for a few years now and can finally share these colorful oceans wave inspired sculptures with my collectors. The sculpture is made of pigmented abaca and epoxy. I use UV pigments that will not fade so the sculpture can be displayed in a bright area. I recommend it be displayed out of direct sunlight for best results.
How to display:
This original work of art will not fade or discolor when displayed in indirect sunlight. The surface is coated with an acid-free covering so it may be displayed near a water source (coffee centers and bathrooms seem to be popular places to display my work these days). If the artwork gets damp, it will dry without warping.
