Berthe Morisot is one of my favorite artists. Her use of color, texture, and natural light as it dances off her flower garden inspired me as I work through my own creative process. When I worked on this painting of gardens in the moonlight,  I felt the joy of seeing color and pattern emerge in the myopic way Morisot did as she studied the shifting light of nighttime before it vanished into day.
