Attention:

Contract for: Art History Lecture: Just What is Impressionism Anyway?

Location: In person ___ Zoom ____

Sponsoring Institution:

Description:

New Englanders love Impressionist art. And no wonder, when the Museum of Fine Arts

in Boston has one of the world’s most impressive collections of Impressionist art.

Through an introductory slide lecture about Impressionism at the town library, I will

familiarize people with the stories and history of Impressionism. The next time attendees

visit the MFA, they will be well prepared to experience the art in person.

This will be a 75–90-minute lecture about Impressionism painting and sculpture.

Impressionism is a popular art style with people in the XX community, but many people

do not know the origins of the style or some of the juicier stories behind the bohemian

artists who made this style famous-Manet, Degas, Van Gogh, Cassatt. This lecture will

provide an entertaining and informative overview of Impressionism with some “fun-

facts” stories thrown in for good measure.

The target audience are members of the XX community. For past lectures, most audience

members ranged in age from 30-70 years old. Children under 12 must be accompanied by

an adult.

Date: XX, 20XX, XX:00-XX:00 pm, EST.

Fee: 250.00. Check made out to Meg Black Studio due by XX, 20XX. 48 hour

cancelation notice required.

Thank you for supporting my tabloid art history lecture series.
