The sound of water as it trickles down a slippery terrain is what inspired this sculpture. The title, Falling Water, comes from the famous private residence designed by the architect Frank Lloyd Wright. Having visited Falling Water a few years ago, I was struck by the sound of the waterfall heard throughout the home, so peaceful and invigorating. I could just imagine taking an afternoon nap while listening to the water falling just outside my window.
The sculpture is made of pigmented abaca and epoxy. I use UV pigments that will not fade so the sculpture can be displayed in a bright area. I recommend it be displayed out of direct sunlight for best results.
