Fifteen trees as they appear throughout the seasons, each with a unique color, shape, density, and reflected sunlight. The changing seasons as they appear in the colors and textures of the trees hold memories for me of better times, of gentler days when the world seemed brighter, less chaotic. I thought about the Impressionist artists who worked outside plein air, on sight. As the trees were right outside my studio window, I was able to work plein air, through direct observation and quick, immediate sketches.
How to display:
This original work of art will not fade or discolor when displayed in indirect sunlight. The surface is coated with an acid-free covering so it may be displayed near a water source (coffee centers and bathrooms seem to be popular places to display my work these days). If the artwork gets damp, it will dry without warping.
