AUGUST. Gladiolus, 20 x 20 x 2 inches, custom-made white-washed floater frame.

$1,150.00

I don’t know about you, but I love the colors of August. The yellows are just a bit closer to gold, the reds more vibrant, and the purples have a tinge of violet to them. It’s no wonder the flower for August is the gladiolus. The gladiolus has long been a symbol of strength, victory, healing, and honor. It has also been associated with moral character, remembrance, and intelligence. For me, it’s a splash of delightful color during the dog days of summer. I loved using so much color for this painting as the temperature outside soared. I hope you enjoy this splash of color just as much.

How to display:

The colors and textures in the painting will not fade or discolor when displayed in indirect sunlight. The surface is coated with an acid-free covering so it may be displayed without glass up to four feet from a water source (coffee centers and bathrooms seem to be popular places to display my work these days).
