This simple flower with its spikes of color and silky leaves was the inspiration for this Impressionist style painting. Stemming from Old English, daisy comes from “day’s eye,” referencing the daily habits of the English daisy. The daisy has long represented innocence, purity, and true love. My aim was to enjoy summer all year long by creating an original painting of colorful daisies in all their blooming glory.
