As an artist, I depict the emotional pull nature has on us by carefully observing the light, textures, and colors of the natural world.  I want the viewer to see past the surface of the work and wander into its space. In this way, they continue the journey as they embark on their own path into the distance.

I paint with abaca which is beaten in my Hollander Beater for up to 20 hours. Abaca is a fiber from the inner bark of the banana tree. It is extremely strong, acid free, and holds color beautifully so the paintings will not to fade over time. Using abaca creates the textural surface in my work which mimics the feel and wonder of the natural world.

I hope you enjoy browsing through my portfolio of available work. Please leave me a message at the bottom of this page if you wish to contact me.
